With the arrival of Autumn and the on-set of Winter, it becomes an awesome place, where the invigorating powers of Atlantic breezes, combined with relaxing in front of a real fire are the recipe for a memorable Autumn or Winter get-away.

The Slieve Elva Farmhouse Autumn/Winter Warmer Mini-Break is the perfect way for you to really relax and unwind, the ideal way to make the long, dark Autumn/Winter months pass by just that little bit more quickly.

Your Autumn/Winter Warmer Mini-Break can be a two or three night break, but by far the most popular option is the two night Friday and Saturday night package priced at only €66.00 per person sharing.

Friday Night »
Arrive around 6.30pm and enjoy piping hot tea, with warm scones, pancakes and potato cakes with butter and jam, all served in the guest lounge in front of the glowing turf fire. »

8.30pm, after a hot shower, visit one of the local pubs or restaurants to experience and enjoy good food, drink and may be some traditional music. We will be happy to arrange transport so you can really enjoy yourself! »

Saturday Night »
In Autumn/Winter months our famous breakfast is served between 9.00am and 11.00am, allowing plenty of time for that lie-in you’ve always promised yourself. Why not really spoil yourself and have breakfast served to you in bed?! »

After breakfast, the day is yours. If the weather is fine, nothing makes you feel more alive than an invigorating walk on the “Blue Flag” Fanore beach and watch Atlantic rollers crashing onto the beach, then maybe a visit to the dramatic, awesome beauty of the 200m high Cliffs of Moher. »

If the weather is less kind, a visit to the Burren Centre and Cathedral at Kilfenora or the Burren Perfumery, never disappoints, or maybe get under the skin of the Burren inside Aillwee Cave. »

Around 4.00pm, return to Slieve Elva Farmhouse to enjoy afternoon tea of sandwiches, warm scones, pancakes and potato cakes and pot of tea. Then spend a couple of hours playing lounge games such as Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit, or simply curl-up in front of the fire with a book from our Book-Swap library, or choose a film to watch from our large DVD collection. »

8.00pm, if the cosy warmth of Slieve Elva Farmhouse persuades you to stay in tonight, choose a light supper from our well-priced light meals menu, alternatively, visit another of the great pubs or restaurants in the area to round off your day. »

12.00pm, alas, time to pack the bags, check out and say goodbye ... but only until your next visit! »

The Three Night Autumn/Winter Warmer Mini-Break is priced at just €99.00 per person sharing and includes tea and toast in bed on day two, followed by a full brunch at 11.30am on that day in the Conservatory Dining room.

The Autumn/Winter Warmer Mini-Break is available from 1st October to 28th February, excluding Christmas and New Year, Easter, Valentines Day/Weekend and other public holidays.

Transport to and from airport can be arranged upon request for an additional charge.
